SaludPgh is expanding to bring healthy, accessible, and affordable Latino cuisine to the 'Burgh! You'll find them serving up a variety of vegan empanadas at the Bloomfield Market every Saturday, and at StartUptown on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:00-2:00 pm. Also, join them the last Sunday of every month at 720 Cafe for "Best Brunch," an all-you-can eat buffet of delicious Latino- and Asian-fusion dishes.
The Brazen Kitchen
The Brazen Kitchen is the plant-based business of chef, health coach, and advocate Leah Lizarondo. Leah can be found around the city partnering with chefs and businesses to bring vegan food to the masses. Recent appearances have included Bar Marco, Marty's Market, and Verde where she's been dishing up delicious dinners and educating people on the power of plants. The Vegan Goddess - where decadence meets compassion - has been serving the Pittsburgh area with baked goods since 2007. The Vegan Goddess specializes in both sweets and savory items, as well as an ever-increasing line of gluten-free and/or soy-free treats. Orders can be placed via email or phone, and she can frequently be found at community events. Vegan ABC's culinary creations are high quality, meatless, dairy-free, and often gluten-free. According to their brochure, "All of our products are completely plant-based. No animals were harmed or involved in our recipes." Vegan ABC products are currently available at many locations from Whole Foods in Wexford to Sunny Bridge Natural Foods in McMurray.
